Since My other puppy at home page was getting too large for people to load up, I decided to add a new page. For more emails and pictures like this, go to the AT Home page.
Dear Marilyn,
Just another note to send you a few
pictures of our adorable Emmy! She is so happy & healthy and that
certainly shows what you do as a breeder! Our Vet loves her and always
compliments me on our breeder! She is such a lover and as you can see by
the pictures of her with Lee & I on Easter evening, we love to snuggle
her! Since she is 6 mos. today we will probably get a shorter Schnauzer
cut this week at the groomer, but that puppy hair has been so wonderful to
cuddle!
Can't thank you enough for what you do for
Schnauzers! I just cringe when I see these "new" MINI tiny ones that look
like the size of a Chicuacua (or however you spell that!). That is
ruining a wonderful breed!!!
Will keep you posted, but Emmy sure seems
like she will be the big side of Miniature. What size is her mommy,
Phoenix and daddy, Mnementh Tor?
Since she is 11.7 lbs. at 6 mos. I assume
she will be like you said before, between 18-22 lbs. Our last Schnauzer
was 20 lb. at her healthy ages.
Thank you again, Love, Karen, Lee and Emmy

Hi Marilyn-
First of all, thanks to you, Chris and Rachael
for making our 7 hour trip so unbelieveably memorable! There is nothing in
this world like a Schnauzer "fix", and Dragonward is not only peaceful and
beautiful, it is sensory overload at it's best!
We've never experienced a more perfect puppy
adoption (and we've adopted several over the years), because we didn't have to
make the trip to make a puppy choice. Knowing our likes and dislikes, you
presented us with perfect puppies and one of them chose us! Believe me, Piper
couldn't be a more perfect match for us, and we've all blended as a family
immediately. How do you raise a pup that sleeps all night, is housebroken,
loves all people and dogs and is a happy "lap dog" the first day she's home?
I know you didn't promise any of these things, but one trip to stay at
Dragonward and experience how you devote your life to raising and placing
amazing puppies in loving homes, we begin to see the answer. You are very
special.
We had one question as Piper made her first vet
appearance today- has Piper had any heartworm preventative? We had usually
done Heartguard orally each month- is that ok?
Again thanks. As soon as Piper slows down, I'll
try to catch some good pictures.

Hi Marilyn!
Princess Piper, her throne and her kingdom

Marilyn, We hope this finds you well and prospering with all the Schnauzers! This is a picture of Sadie taken with my cell phone today, so it’s not the best resolution, but I wanted a very current one for you. A question we have is one of food for the adult Schnauzer. What are you feeding your kids? She is doing well on all foods, but I thought I’d check with you since I know there is a huge difference in the quality across brands. Sadie is a dream dog for us. She is very smart and highly trainable. She plays well with all the grandkids and other dogs. She warms up to guests in our home quickly. And she is great company for Susan when I’m out of town. She travels with us a lot and when we need to board her, we’ve found a exquisite place here in Bloomington called Top Dog Retreat, where she is one of their favorites. She does not show signs of moodiness at all and loves to play. She definitely Susan’s buddy, but I take her on at least two walks a day when I’m in town. I’m also back into the grooming business and she is patient there, too. I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to get two Schnauzers from you when we got Sadie last March. If one comes back to you for some reason and you’re looking for a home, keep us in mind, although I’d have to work on Susan a bit! In the meantime, be well and send me your recommendations on adult dog food, if you would. Joe & Susan Nowlin
